Global Corporate Website
With the introduction of a new executive, the team was given eight-weeks to redesign the corporate website as part of a “quick-hit.” As the manager of agency team, rapidly collected a set of three visual designers, two information architects, a user-researcher, an editor, and two site-developers to deliver project.

SITUATION

  • newly corporate marketing executive needed to update web presence
  • existing web presence not showing scale of company well


METHODS

  • 8-week program to rapidly create structure for expanding corporation
  • much prior experience with client, used existing staff to assess knowledge of corporation, users and clients through interviews
  • design competition among designers to rapidly create 3 distinct design direction
  • frequent iteration with existing staff – had deep knowledge of business


RESULTS

  • information architecture of site sustained several subsequent years of development
  • visual design has been adopted as standard for all corporate efforts
  • “quick hit” gained business support and later adopted for intranet development
  • create style guide for other pages/countries
  • 70+ countries sites have since been based on site
